Voss Scientific, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, was founded in April 1988 by Dr. Donald Voss. Since its inception, the company has provided quality scientific, engineering, and R&D services and products to an expanding government and commercial customer base. These products and services support the production and usage of electromagnetic and laser-based directed energy technologies. |
| Voss Scientific has a broad range of expertise beyond ultrafast lasers, which includes: |
| (1) Commercial and custom software and electronics for scientific applications, including data acquisition software, synchronized trigger generators, patented sensors and system-level integration; (2) High-power microwave (HPM) source development, antenna design, system and component hardening, including design and fielding of associated wideband diagnostics, and HPM/EM susceptibility effects testing on systems, subsystems, and components; (3) Computational electromagnetics and data analyses in support of outdoor/open-air field-testing and anechoic chamber testing with high power microwaves; and (4) Computational beam/plasma physics, applying advanced numerical algorithms to simulation of high-energy-density charged-particle beams and lasers for flash radiography and inertial fusion applications. |
